Nancy Gendimenico

GLOBAL BRAND LICENSING and STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP LEADER

Nancy Gendimenico is the founder of Elan Brand Licensing, LLC, a strategic brand consultancy that helps companies and brands expand into new products, retail channels, and geographies via strategic partnerships and licensing. Prior to starting Elan Brand Licensing, Nancy spent over 25 years developing blue chip brands from Hanes and Champion to the Peanuts characters. Her most recent corporate role building and leading Hanesbrands  global licensing department resulted in creating a $500M+retail program for Champion, C9 Champion(exclusive to Target stores), Hanes, and other brands. Known for marrying strategic thinking and creativity with collaboration and project execution, Nancy has delivered significant revenue and profit growth as an executive at Hanesbrands, United Media and BBC Worldwide, among others. She bring this expertise to Elan clients to support their business expansion.

Nancy writes about apparel, retail, licensing and brand trends for publications including Earnshaw’s, Apparel Magazine, and her blog. Her volunteer work includes her membership as an executive fundraising committee member at Girls Write Now, a literacy and mentoring non-profit for under-served teen girls in NYC.

Nancy received a B.S. in Fashion and Retail from Penn State and recently earned an M.F.A in Creative Writing and Literature at Stony Brook Southampton. She has an Entrepreneurship certificate from the Kauffman/Fast Trac New Ventures program. Outside of her business pursuits, Nancy enjoys Iyengar yoga, outdoor activities, theater and art.
